In Tsholotsho, girls are walking long distances just to play football. Some teams train with only one ball, yet their determination to play and pursue their dreams remains strong.
Established in March 2026, the Tsholotsho Women’s Football League is already creating opportunities for young girls, both on and off the pitch.
But how far can passion and determination take them without adequate support?
I had a conversation with the league’s chairwoman, Julia Moyo, about their journey, achievements, challenges, and the support they need to keep growing - and how we can all play a part in building the women’s game.
